Overview
This website, otakutcg.co.za, is run by Otaku TCG. "We", "us" and "our" mean Otaku TCG. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms and to our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy.
Otaku TCG is the sister store of Otaku Kulture (otakukulture.co.za), run by the same owner. Orders placed on otakukulture.co.za follow that store's own terms and policies.
Our store is hosted on Shopify.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
Using our store
- You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to buy from us or create an account.
- Don't use the store for anything illegal. Don't try to harm the site, for example with viruses, or by scraping or overloading it.
- Don't give false information when you order, create an account or enter a giveaway.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Our products
- We sell sealed trading card products, including Pokémon TCG in English and Japanese. Japanese products say Japanese in the product name and have Japanese text on the cards and packaging.
- Booster packs, boxes and other sealed products have random contents. We can't tell you what's inside.
- We show products as accurately as we can, but colours on your screen may look slightly different.
- Some products are limited. We may limit how many of a product one person, household or account can buy, and we may cancel orders that go over the limit or look like they're for resale. If we cancel an order, we refund you in full.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Checkout shows your full total, including shipping, before you pay.
- Prices can change without notice. You pay the price shown when you place your order.
- You pay through our secure payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Your order is confirmed when your payment goes through and we email you an order confirmation.
Mistakes on our site
Sometimes a price, description or stock level on our site is wrong. If a price is clearly a mistake, we'll contact you before we send your order. You can then pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund. If we can't supply an item, for example because it's out of stock, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Shipping and returns
Our Shipping policy covers costs and delivery times. Our Refund policy covers returns. In short: you can return any unopened product within 7 days of delivery, and defective products are covered for 6 months.
Accounts
You can sign in with your email address or with Google. Keep your email and Google account secure, because anyone who can get into them can get into your Otaku TCG account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Giveaways
Our giveaways run under their own rules, shown on the Giveaways page. Those rules apply to each giveaway along with these terms. Entry is free, and you never have to buy anything to enter. Our Privacy policy explains what we do with your entry details.
Our content and trademarks
Please don't copy, sell or reuse content from this site without our written permission.
Pokémon and the names of Pokémon products are trademarks of their owners. Otaku TCG is an independent store. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other sites and apps, such as our WhatsApp group. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content. Their own terms apply when you use them.
Our liability
We work to keep the site running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses that come from using the site. This doesn't limit our responsibility for gross negligence, or your rights under the CPA.
If part of these terms doesn't apply
If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on the site when you placed it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
